Shop Running

Running shoes vary through complex design. However, evidence still suggests that weight is the most important factor to how much of a help or hinderance they are. The addition of a carbon plate within some has been proposed to improve running efficiency, but the evidence remains unclear. We recommend lighter shoes for lighter runners and more cushioned shoes for those of a larger frame. The addition of supportive insoles can be beneficial for those with recurrent foot symptoms, but they should be light. Foot, ankle, and hip strengthening exercises and reducing stride length resolve most runner’s issues, rather than trying to find the ‘ultimate’ running shoe. For more information click here.
