HealthyStep @ NHS CPD event held in the North East

HealthyStep wants to start to develop a closer relationship with our NHS customers and the opportunity to deliver some CPD for NHS podiatrists (working in biomechanics or MSK teams) sounded like an ideal starting point.

Held at the Quality Hotel in Boldon, the venue was excellent (with some good post event beers in the bar) and we couldn’t have hoped for a better turn out.  Though perhaps the next one needs to allow for considerable traffic build-ups on the A19 in the early evening.

Andy Horwood, experienced MSK Podiatrist and Researcher and product designer for HealthyStep presented, delivered an education session on the lower limb as a system of levers and talked the group through the types of levers in the lower limb and how these are used during gait as well as presenting an alternative approach to review patient’s gait in terms of energy efficiency.

Nev, HealthyStep’s sales manager and also an MSK podiatrist, and also Tim Hall our Managing director were available to talk to the delegates and find out more about how they are using HealthySTep devices within their NHS services and to review the innovative opportunities that HealthyStep can work with them on.

As a pilot for the education program that HealthyStep are developing, this event was a great success and informed us of how these gatherings can work and aid podiatrists in the NHS, and also how we can continue to progress our education plans.
